After months of searching, deliberating and decision making, Paul and I closed on our condo today. It was a long and exhausting day, but so worth it.
We both took the day off of work so we could go to the walk-through at 9 a.m. and then the actual closing at 10. I set my alarm for 8 just to be safe, but didn’t realized that it was 8 PM! Thank goodness my mom called me at 8:20 to wish me luck.
So I rush, rush, rushed to get out of the house by 8:45. An apple and some pomegranate Chobani hit the spot!
The walk-through went smooth. The place was empty, but in need of a good scrub down.
Then we scurried on over to the real estate attorney’s office and signed our lives away. Hah! Just kidding. It was pretty painless. Just a lot of legal jargon that I didn’t understand. The whole process took about an hour and a half, and then Paul and I headed to each of our homes to grab cleaning supplies and change our outfits. We returned to our new home and got right to work.
Seriously, we cleaned for four hours straight. I put on Pandora, and we barely even spoke. Well, except for a couple yays and ew this is gross.
But now all the fun stuff begins.
We’re hoping to get a guy in to measure the kitchen countertops this week and we’re definitely going to Sherwin Williams on Thursday to buy paint.
I’m so excited and so nervous. I’m actually an adult now and I don’t really believe it yet!
Have a good night!
P.S. I have no words to express how upset I am that Derrick Rose’s season is over. I haven’t felt this bad since…November, when Jay Cutler broke his thumb!
