Spaghetti and Italian Turkey Meatballs

*Based on the Skinny Taste Skinny Italian Turkey Meatballs

Ingredients:

  • 20 oz ground turkey breast 99% lean
  • 2 slices whole wheat bread torn up like bread crumbs
  • 1/4 C. parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 C. parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • marinara sauce
  • parmesan cheese
  • 8 oz. whole wheat spaghetti

Directions:

Prepare spaghetti according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, combine ground turkey, torn up bread, egg, parsley, garlic and cheese. Mix all the ingredients well with your hands until everything is combined. Form small meatballs, about 1/8 C. each. Add sauce to the meatballs and cook about 20 minutes over medium. Serve over pasta with cheese.
